The brief

Fantasy football apps tend to bury the fun under spreadsheets of stats. World of Champions is about playing with your friends: start your own league, build a squad and watch it play out on match day. The UI had to feel like a stadium at night, but still make picking eleven players from a budget feel easy.

How I got there

  1. 1

    Floodlights first

Onboarding sits on a dark, moody stadium shot under a navy overlay: "Become a champion. It's your world of football." One line on what you can do (kick off a fantasy league with friends) and one button. Sign-in and registration keep the same backdrop, so the first minute feels like walking into the ground.

  2. 2

A wordmark with a ball in it

The CHAMPIONS logo sits in a rounded frame with a football standing in for the O. It's small enough to sit at the top of every auth screen without shouting.

  3. 3

    Match day at a glance

The home feed leads with the live match (score, minute, possession split) and upcoming fixtures underneath, each with the stadium, kick-off time and the prize pot for that game.

  4. 4

Picking a squad without a spreadsheet

Players are grouped by position (GK, ATT, DEF, MID) with their goals, assists and shots in one tidy row, and the remaining budget stays pinned at the top. A red Preview / Next bar walks you through the picks one position at a time.

  5. 5

See your team on the pitch

Once you've picked, your lineup appears on a real pitch in formation (4-3-3), with player photos where they'd stand. It's the moment that makes it feel like your team.

How it landed

A full flow from first launch to a finished squad on the pitch: onboarding, sign-in, live matches, squad picking and lineup, all in one dark, consistent visual language.
