The brief
A pizza box is the most-seen piece of branding a pizza place owns. It sits on desks, gets photographed and gets stacked by the door. Dodo Pizza needed packaging that makes people want a slice before they open the lid.
How I got there
- 1
Appetite first
The lid leads with a big, generous pizza on a band of orange. The food does the talking.
- 2
Doodles for the details
Around it, a pattern of line-drawn ingredients and kitchen tools keeps the box playful and adds texture without competing with the pizza.
- 3
The sides matter
Stacked boxes show their sides, not their lids, so the sides get a repeating black-and-orange DODO PIZZA band with the dodo mark. A stack by the door becomes a billboard.
- 4
Ready for the printer
I set up the structural layout and print-ready production files so it could go straight to production.
How it landed
Packaging that works on the counter, in a stack and in a photo. I summed it up in the line I wrote for it: "With a slice, comes the feeling."
