A 40-second walkthrough that makes a directory feel trustworthy before you've searched anything.

The brief
PartMap is my own product: a directory for finding car parts dealers and automotive businesses across Nigeria. I built it because finding a part here usually means calling five people who know a guy. Directories live or die on trust (is this listing real, is it current, will anyone pick up?), so the launch video had to answer that, not just show a search bar.
How I got there
- 1
Start with the search
It opens on the hero: "Find car parts dealers and automotive businesses across Nigeria", with a real search typed in (brake pads, Lagos). That's the one thing you come to do.
- 2
Make trust visible
The camera pushes into a listing and its status card: source-listed, phone-confirmed, business-verified, each with a date. Showing where a listing came from is PartMap's whole difference, so it gets the close-up.
- 3
Let the numbers count up
Coverage counts up from 24 states and 32 cities to 36 states and 100+ cities, the kind of proof that reads in a second.
- 4
Two audiences, one ending
Drivers see 'Contact them directly' (call, WhatsApp, website). Businesses see 'List your business: free, no account needed'. Then the logo with the UI cards floating around it.
How it landed
A launch film that explains what PartMap is, why you can trust it and what to do next, in under a minute with no voiceover. It now runs alongside the live site at partmap.ng.
